The last week its been perfect weather here in the Bulkley Valley, sunshine everyday and warm temperatures too. Derek was lucky enough to go up snow boarding yesterday and he really enjoyed the beautiful conditions.. Ive been making the most of the spring like weather and have been taking walks in the sun on a regular basis. My last day of work is tomorrow and Derek will still work on Monday and take Tuesday off seeing as we leave on Tuesday evening.
The most exciting news in the past few weeks was the birth of a baby son to my brother Colin and his wife Mirella, who live in Sweden. Out of the family I was the only sibling who was at home when he called with the exciting news of Oliver's birth. So we got to chat for quite a while and I was given quite the details about the event.. :) Steph became a blood aunt for the first time and Katie got her first cousin on that side of the family. We've even seen Oliver in real on Skype, what a cute baby!!
My next post will probably be about Australia, I might even post something while we are down there..

enjoy!!!! i'm sure you're going to have so much fun! :)
may God grant you a wonderful and safe trip over ... just thought would let you know that the weather forecast for perth on tuesday is 39 ;) ... looking forward to seeing you at the reunion
I'm so jealous! About snowboarding, that is. Only managed to go once this season so far which is downright dismal. But... it's snowing here in Ottawa right now and hopefully the next month will give us a couple of much-needed metres!
But if warmer weather is your thing... have tons of fun in Australia. At least you're there for a while so it doesn't need to be a whirlwind of visits the whole time.
I presume you're busy (re)practising your aussie accents these last few days?

Hi Steph. Wishing you and the family a safe trip to Australia. Enjoy the looooong flight :) Might see you sometime in the next month! Monique
A post at last :-)
Enjoy your trip to Australia. That's one place I've always dreamed of going to but alas, it's not to be :-( Oh well, like uncle Ben always says our future holds much more beauty than anything on earth can compare to.
Hope you get a chance to blog "Down Under" . . .
