Happy New Year

As I sit here and ponder that it is already the end of the year. where did this year go? but we have lots of memories, lots of times of fellowship, many special worship services, days of work, days of leisure. etc. to show for it.And above all we feel blessed and privileged to be Gods children working in His kingdom for another year.

I can think of the things that stick out and  will mention them. In February Ed and Helen came to visit. despite being in the thick of renovations we had a great time with them and hope they will come visit again soon. thats the benefit of living in the same country. albeit a long way away and a very expensive trip. we hope to dv attend Ed and Ems wedding in August and see the rest of the family again.

2012 in our family will be known as the year of renovating once again. This year we completed our renovation in October and now I have my husband back :) our kitchen was installed in February after Ed and Helen left. I feel extremely blessed to have a brand new kitchen and recently even a dishwasher. see earlier posts for pictures.

In June Richard came to visit we had special moments together I think of our drive out to Granisle having supper at Red Bluff together with Jeremy P. Visiting the fossil beds and having a hot dog roast by Driftwood Creek.

 In August we had planned to meet up with the rest of the family to celebrate Mum and Dad 't Harts 40th Anniversary. we were trying to cram too many things into the year and Steph suffered a mental health relapse. So we put off our big summer plans and spent a beautiful summer in Smithers. We even managed to camp at Lions Beach, Granisle. a place we hope to spend time at again.

September was the highlight of our year with Mum and Dad 't Hart arriving to spend 4 weeks with us. Our guest room was finished and while they were here our main bedroom was completed. which included our walk in closet. of which I have previously posted pictures. We had such a great time with Mum and Dad 't Hart, Katie has such good memories of Opa and Oma and will often talk to them on the phone or skype.

Katie got in a lot of reading time as you can see.I fondly remember the help Mum and Dad gave us in organizing our house after the reno was complete.




As a family we enjoyed a weekend in Rupert and stayed a bed and breakfast overlooking the water.

after this winter was soon upon us and the rest of the year flew. Oh and I can't forget that Katie started Kindergarten. such an excited little girl we have had this year. I love school mom but the best part is the bus ride!

of late we've been busy with christmas gatherings. Katie had a christmas concert with school and she sang her little heart out.

 we have been blessed by our heavenly Father in 2012 and we pray for this to continue in 2013.
